carbonara 6/10
noodle is cook perfectly but nothing special
laksa pasta with salmon 5/10
too spicy and numbing, taste is okay but not enjoyable to eat
a small slice of salmon at the side only
nachos 8/10
very big in portion, presentation looks good
smoke duck sourdough 6/10
smoke duck is too little and they dice it so i barely can taste any of it
it just taste like bread with avocado
tacos 5/10
presentation of food looks good, taste wise meh
they give you plastic gloves to eat so you wont dirty your hands
honey pizza 6/10
pizza is sliced too thinly so you barely can chew anything. honey is very mild too
creme brulee waffle 8/10
the waffle is very soft and fluffy, you can actually taste the bitter-sweet crunch of caramelised sugar! and is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
flaming brownie 9/10
this is a must order!! brownie is so soft and moist. the chocolate sauce they pour over is super rich in flavour, they also have nuts in it for a crunchy mouthfeel. because this is flamed, it contain alcohol
If you’re craving a quick coffee fix in Johor Bahru, JWC Coffee is definitely a spot to check out. The café’s aesthetic is modern and clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere that pairs perfectly with your coffee break. While I found the main dishes like carbonara and laksa pasta to be underwhelming—often either too spicy or lacking in flavor—the desserts here truly stand out. The flaming brownie, in particular, is a must-try. It’s delightfully moist with a rich chocolate sauce and crunchy nuts, and the flaming presentation adds a fun twist with a hint of alcohol. Similarly, the creme brulee waffle is soft and fluffy, topped with vanilla ice cream and a perfectly crunchy caramelized sugar layer. JWC also offers a wide range of coffee options. From cold brew lattes to unique creations such as the caramel white macchiato or hazelnut Irish coffee, the coffee lovers will certainly be spoiled for choice. They even let you choose your brewing method and coffee bean for a personalized experience. Another thoughtful touch is that they provide plastic gloves when eating finger foods like tacos, keeping the experience neat and enjoyable. The portion sizes for some items like nachos are generous, making it suitable for sharing. Located just a 4-minute drive from EDEN, JWC Coffee is a great alternative if you want to avoid long waits. Open daily from 11am to 11pm, it’s an accessible hangout spot whether you want a casual meet-up or a sweet treat time. If you want to explore more, they also have a diverse menu featuring items like Japanese curry, roasted duck, and matcha drinks listed on their menu. All in all, if desserts and a solid coffee bar are what you’re after, JWC Coffee in JB won’t disappoint. Just temper your expectations on the savory mains, and you’ll have a lovely visit.
