theres two flavour - mushroom and crab and we got the crab flavour one. they are very generous with the crab flesh but it just taste like normal chawamushi. take note the portion is quite small too.
this had seafood inside but nothing too special about this… the sauce on top was quite little so the flavour was not too strong. personally feel this can skip
surume ika teriyaki🐙 ($19.80)
the squid is crunchy (not those rubbery type) and the squid itself is really sweet and fresh.
salmon and pork nabe🐷($22.80)
i got the ala carte one, set cost $30.80. i got the sukiyaki soup and i love the sweetness of it!
salmon belly teriyaki and unagi kamameshi 🍚($30.80)
this is my fav out of all!! the unagi and salmon belly is super thick😗 flavour wise you can kinda expected it… teriyaki but it come with salmon roe to pair with your rice
overall verdict: they are generous with their ingredients but their portion size is relatively smaller than most places. and please order dishes that have salmon because they are super fresh and thick🙌

The restaurant's focus on premium seafood really shines, especially with dishes featuring salmon. Despite smaller portions, the quality makes up for it—we found the salmon belly teriyaki perfectly complemented by salmon roe, adding a burst of flavor to each bite.
One thing I appreciated was the freshness and texture of the surume ika teriyaki; unlike rubbery squid elsewhere, theirs is delightfully crunchy and sweet, which is a treat for seafood lovers.
While the pork and seafood okonomiyaki was less memorable due to a light sauce, the chawan mushi with crab was still generous, though it tasted similar to typical versions. If you prefer heartier options, the salmon and pork nabe in sukiyaki broth offers a satisfying balance of sweetness and warmth.
During your visit, consider trying set menus for a fuller experience, though the ala carte choices offer a great chance to focus on favorites. The overall vibe is intimate and cozy, perfect for special occasions like birthdays.
Tokyo-style influences are noticeable in the subtle flavors and presentation, and the image of "東京和食" (Tokyo-style Japanese cuisine) fits well with the restaurant’s aesthetic and offerings. Keep in mind that while portions might feel lighter, the price corresponds to the quality and attention given to each ingredient.
In summary, prioritize dishes with salmon, savor the fresh seafood, and enjoy the samurai-like attention to detail in every plate. This spot is a wonderful choice if you're looking for quality Japanese dining with a Tokyo touch.
