CHRISTMAS DINNER AT THE DEMPSEY
we ordered a variety of food to try and heres my verdict of all!
the ambience is great, super helpful and nice server too
guacamole with tomatillo salsa and warm crunchy tortillas ($22)🥑
great starter for sharing while waiting for the mains, it taste like what you can expect
crispy salmon sushi, chipotle mayonnaise and soy glazed ($22)🍣
this is my top 1!! super thick and fresh salmon, but what really “wow” me is the crispy sushi rice. super interesting texture and flavour to it, something you cant really find outside
black truffle and fontina cheese pizza ($38)🍕
this pizza is by far the richest in flavour of truffle i have ever had. wont go wrong with this!
sesame panko crusted salmon trout, citrus-tahini emulsion, cauliflower ($38)🐟
this tasted super good at the start but might get abit gelat after eating a few mouth due to the sesame sauce. the cauliflower at the side help to cleanse the palette
cheddar cheeseburger, passionfruit bbq sauce, grilled onion, fries ($38)🍔
nothing too special about this, a good comforting cheeseburger
pork chop with smoked chili glaze,
brussels sprouts, sweet onion ($38) 🐖
i was super amazed by this dish, the pork chop is so tender (hard to find places that handle their pork so well) just by how tender the pork chop is this dish is a must order!
grand marnier chocolate soufflé ($19) 🍫
nothing too special about this so i think can skip. but the mandarin sobet that comes with it is super refreshing, good to end of it.
If you're considering visiting Como Dempsey for a Christmas dinner, here are some tips from my experience to make the most of your holiday feast. First, book your table early as this popular spot can fill up fast during the holiday season. The cozy, festive ambiance really adds to the experience, making it ideal for families and friends celebrating together. Besides the dishes I tried, Como Dempsey offers other seasonal specials worth exploring. From fresh seafood options to unique appetizers, their menu is thoughtfully curated to complement the holiday mood. One thing I particularly enjoyed was how each dish was paired with flavorful sauces and sides, like the citrus-tahini emulsion with the salmon trout, which balances richness beautifully. Don't forget to save room for dessert! Although I found the grand marnier chocolate soufflé optional, the accompanying mandarin sorbet was a refreshing and delightful way to end the meal. Overall, Como Dempsey's holiday pop-up delivers a memorable Christmas dinner, blending great food, friendly service, and a cheerful atmosphere that captured the spirit of the season perfectly.
