Alfredo sauce is a classic Italian-American pasta sauce known for its rich, creamy texture and savory flavor. This simple & good pasta sauce recipe starts with cooking your preferred protein in a skillet, which adds depth and flavor to the dish. After setting the protein aside, melting a stick of butter in the pan is essential to creating the base of the Alfredo sauce. Butter not only adds richness, but also helps deglaze the pan, incorporating the seasonings left from the meat. Slowly adding heavy whipping cream while stirring ensures the sauce develops a smooth, velvety texture. Incorporating spices such as Morton Nature's Seasons, Cajun seasoning, and Italian seasoning creates a well-rounded flavor profile that elevates the sauce beyond basic Alfredo recipes. The addition of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese contributes both creaminess and a subtle tang, which thickens the sauce as it melts. Taste-testing during the thickening process allows customization for preferred seasoning levels, ensuring the sauce suits your palate perfectly. Pouring this homemade Alfredo sauce over freshly cooked pasta instantly transforms a simple meal into a comforting and satisfying dish. For pasta lovers looking to try a homemade pasta night, this Alfredo sauce recipe is versatile and pairs well with various proteins like chicken, shrimp, or sausage, as well as vegetables like mushrooms and spinach.
