It feels so incredibly good to be back here, connecting with all of you again on Lemon8! Taking a step back from consistent posting was truly necessary for my mental and creative well-being. I know nobody said it was going to be easy when you embark on a creative journey, let alone navigating the ups and downs of daily life itself. There were definitely moments when I felt like quitting, facing those internal battles and self-doubt that every creator, entrepreneur, or anyone pursuing a passion knows too well. But seeing your constant messages and unwavering support during my hiatus reminded me exactly why I started this in the first place: to build a vibrant community where we uplift, inspire, and empower each other. My time away wasn't just a simple break; it was a profound period of reflection, renewal, and recalibration. I spent a significant amount of time focusing on my 2024 Vision Board, meticulously mapping out new goals, aspirations, and dreams, not just for the content I create but for my personal growth and overall well-being. I’ve always found immense strength and guidance from principles, especially those found in Proverbs 31 W[oman], striving for diligence, wisdom, and grace in everything I do. This applies to every aspect, whether it's diligently managing my finances to ensure stability or brainstorming and executing my next big creative project from the comfort of my trusty MacBook Air. Being a proud #blackgirlcreator and authentically sharing snippets of my #blackgirllifestyle means the absolute world to me. It's about so much more than just pretty pictures or trending sounds; it's about showing up authentically, embracing vulnerability in all its forms, and intentionally creating inclusive spaces where we can all feel seen, heard, and truly thrive. I want to delve deeper into those behind-the-scenes moments—the struggles, the unexpected triumphs, and the specific strategies I use to push past the impulse to give up when things get overwhelming.
