Seek God Forst

Hey everyone! I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on what it truly means to seek first God, especially in challenging times. A scripture that has really resonated with me is Hebrews 12:5-6. It talks about not making light of the Lord’s discipline or losing heart when He rebukes us, because ‘the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.’ Wow, right? This verse completely shifted my perspective on difficulties. Before, I might have seen trials as punishment, but this reminds me that God’s discipline isn't about punishment; it’s about refining us, just like a loving parent guides their child. It’s a profound expression of His love, a sign that we are truly His children. When I truly grasped this, it made me think about my own journey and how often I've doubted or questioned why things were happening. But understanding this verse helps me to see His hand, even in the toughest moments. This also ties beautifully into why it’s so important to seek first God in everything. When we prioritize Him, we begin to understand His ways more clearly. It’s not always easy, and sometimes it takes a deep breath and a conscious decision to pause and pray. But I've personally experienced how God answers prayers when we approach Him with a heart open to His guidance, even His corrective guidance. It’s a testament to His faithfulness that He cares enough to shape us. The journey of Faith Is Now Trust God really comes alive here. It’s not just about believing He exists, but actively trusting His process, His timing, and even His discipline. The OCR also mentioned Hebrews 11:1 which states, 'Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.' This verse perfectly complements Hebrews 12:5-6, reminding us that even when we don't fully understand why God is allowing certain things, our faith is the assurance that He is working all things for our good, out of His deep love. It’s about having confidence in His character, knowing He has our best interests at heart. So, if you’re going through a period where you feel God’s gentle (or sometimes not-so-gentle) hand of discipline, remember that it's a sign of His profound love for you. Don't lose heart! Instead, lean into it, learn from it, and let it draw you closer to Him. It's in these moments that our faith is now trust God strengthens, and we truly experience the transformative power of His grace.
