Reflecting on the girlie I was in my early 20’s
Lately, I’ve been getting back to the things that truly brings me joy—one of those things is ✨MAKEUP✨ of course, every girly girl loves it.
Whether it’s simple or full glam—I was such a MAC girl,
I remembered when I started to receive my first income, all I wanted to do was buy my own things.
It gave me a sense of independence, and I loved that feeling soo much…who said money can’t buy happiness, lol.
Looking back on my early 20s, I wish I still had that carefree, happy-go-lucky spirit that consumed me during that stage of my life. I was so happy with just existing.
Nowadays, all I worry about are bills, healing from past trauma, and surviving.
Don’t get me wrong, I love being an able adult that could build the life of her dreams. It’s just the obstacles and not having a clear direction that consumes me, at times.
Which is why I’m putting my energy back into the things that brings me joy, instead of the negatives. I want my childlike confidence again.
I don’t know which chapter of my life my confidence was stolen from me, but in this chapter, I am taking it back and protecting it so that it’s never stolen again.
I am doing all of that things that brings me immense joy and not putting any of my energy into anything that does not.
My peace and happiness are mine to protect, therefore, anything that is no longer serving me in positive ways will either evolve or dissolve out of my life.
This chapter of me is very personal, and I am not taking anything lightly, 💋.
