How I Discovered & Cured My BV for Good! 💕🩺
I know I don’t share personal stories about me on my page but I wanted to do this posts to help someone out. I am not proud and a little embarrassed but I’m doing this post because I want to be vulnerable to you guys.
How I Found Out I Had BV + How I Cured It
I went in for my routine OB appointment, expecting everything to be normal—until my doctor told me I had Bacterial Vaginosis (BV). At the time, I had no idea what BV even was until she explained how it happens and how I likely contracted it.
How I Got It:
Not long after, I discovered that my spouse had been having a two-month affair with a co-worker. (If y’all want the full storytime, let me know.) That discovery shook me to my core, and we spent a year in therapy working on our relationship.
How I Cured My BV:
My doctor prescribed me antibiotics in pill form, which cleared the infection. But I also made lifestyle changes to prevent BV from coming back, including:
✨ Taking vaginal probiotics to restore healthy bacteria
✨ Using mild, unscented products to avoid irritation
✨ Practicing safe sex to protect my vaginal health
✨ Wearing breathable underwear to keep things fresh
✨ Maintaining good hygiene to keep everything balanced
BV is so common, but no one really talks about it! If you’ve ever dealt with it or have questions, drop them below. And let me know if you want the full storytime on the affair and how we worked through it. ⬇️💬

Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is a prevalent condition affecting many women, yet it's often shrouded in silence. Understanding the factors that lead to BV is essential for prevention. BV occurs when there is an imbalance in the natural bacteria in the vagina, often triggered by activities such as douching, using scented products, or changing sexual partners. Symptoms can include unusual discharge, odor, and irritation, which can significantly impact quality of life. To effectively manage and prevent BV, consider integrating **vaginal probiotics** into your routine, as they can help restore healthy flora. Additionally, opt for **unscented hygiene products** and wear **breathable fabrics** to reduce irritation. It's also crucial to practice safe sex and maintain good personal hygiene to promote a balanced vaginal environment. If you're experiencing symptoms of BV or seeking more personalized advice, consulting a healthcare professional is vital to receiving appropriate treatment and resources. Remember, you're not alone in this journey, and open conversations can empower and support those facing similar challenges.

BV is not an STD/STI, seems like you’re given false info. BV can be caused by multiple things outside of sex including certain body wash.
