... Read moreOkay, so you've seen my exciting unboxing, and now that I have my incredible 2024 iPad Air M2, I wanted to share a bit more about my decision-making process and answer some questions that might be on your mind if you're thinking about getting one too! First off, let's talk about storage: 'Is 128GB enough for iPad Air?' This was a big question for me! Personally, for my needs – which mostly involve creative apps like Procreate, Goodnotes, light video editing, and tons of photos – 128GB feels just right. I use cloud storage for most of my larger files and don't plan on downloading huge game libraries. If you're a heavy gamer, a professional video editor, or someone who keeps a lot of offline media, then opting for 256GB or even 512GB might be a better investment. But for everyday productivity, note-taking, and casual creative work, 128GB is a fantastic starting point and saves a bit of money. I truly believe it's enough for a lot of us 'ipad girlies' out there! Then there are the colors! I fell in love with the new purple iPad Air – it's just so vibrant and unique. But you know, when I was researching, I saw all the beautiful 'iPad colors' available across different models. The iPad Air specifically comes in Cosmic Blue, Starlight, Space Gray, and this gorgeous Purple. Choosing a color is such a personal thing, but I always recommend looking at them in person if you can, or at least checking out real-life photos online. The purple just spoke to my aesthetic! Another common dilemma is 'iPad mini vs iPad Air.' For me, the 11-inch screen of the Air was the perfect balance. While the iPad mini is super portable and amazing for reading or quick notes on the go, I needed a bit more screen real estate for my design projects and general multitasking. The M2 chip in the Air also gives it a significant performance boost, which was crucial for the kind of creative work I plan to do. If portability is your absolute top priority, the Mini is fantastic, but if you want power and a larger canvas without jumping to a Pro, the Air is the sweet spot. For those of you looking for general 'information about iPads' or trying to pick your first one, here’s my advice: Think about what you'll use it for most. Is it for studying and note-taking? Creative output? Entertainment? Your budget also plays a huge role. Don't forget to factor in accessories like the Apple Pencil (which is absolutely essential for artists and students!) or a good keyboard case. Even if you're not getting a 9th generation iPad with specific pencil support, the newer Air models work with the latest Apple Pencils, which makes a huge difference. This also applies if you're considering an 'iPad 10th generation' or other models – always check accessory compatibility. Finally, the whole experience of unboxing the iPad Air with me was just pure joy. Setting it up, downloading my favorite apps, and seeing that beautiful Liquid Retina display for the first time – it truly felt like a treat. I'm so excited to dive into all the possibilities this new device opens up. Stay tuned for those 'design with me' videos, because I'm definitely going to get my money's worth!
