Bedroom Makeover & Declutter
#declutter #lemon8challenge #fyp I am relentlessly working on detail cleaning, decluttering and reorganizing our 1800sqft home. We are a family of 7 and things get messy quickly. So I've had to watch a ton of YouTube videos to learn new methods and techniques for cleaning/organizing our home. I've learned a lot! One of my fav things I've learned is that I can fold my towels way smaller than I have been folding them, saving so much space! I used to fold them into big squares and stack them on our dryer but then I started folding that in half and stacking them skinnier and saving soooo much room. In the kids room I've been emptying closets, clearing out under their beds and under their sinks and putting stuff in bins. For example...one bin will be all nail stuff for the girls, one bin all hair stuff like products, brushes and clips, and another bin will have writing and art stuff.
In my son Zaos room we have a bin for fidgets, a bin for card games and learning cards, a bin for his laser tag set, a bin for magic Trax and a bin for hot wheels cars....micro organizing makes it easier for my kids to keep things clean, and know where to find exactly what theyre looking for. I also organized their closets but color....so depending on their mood they know where to find all their dark tops, bright tops, leggings, shorts and more. /Florida #normalhouse #lemon8challenge
Creating a functional and appealing bedroom space can be challenging, especially for larger families. Start by assessing what items you truly need and declutter any unnecessary belongings. Using storage bins for various categories can help keep everything organized, reducing visual clutter. For instance, in children's rooms, consider sorting toys into labeled bins, which not only simplifies playtime but also teaches kids responsibility. Another clever tip is to address storage efficiency; you can fold and stack towels tighter, maximizing shelf space. Additionally, color-coding your clothes can make choosing outfits easier and more enjoyable for everyone. Efficient closet organization can improve access to clothing and streamline your daily routine. Lastly, don't forget to personalize your environment; adding fun elements to your children's rooms, like interactive play areas, can make keeping things tidy a playful task rather than a chore. Incorporating these strategies will not only enhance your living space but also foster a sense of order and peace at home.
