Online Classes
#ThingsToDo #lemon8challenge Online classes keep you learning at your own pace and can be done from literally anywhere. Two of our five kids are doing FLVS which is online schooling ...and my son graduated 2nd grade a couple weeks ago and then started 3rd grade months early instead of tanking the summer off ..which I think is amazing. SO this upcoming school year he will be done with hopefully by Christmas at the latest. I'll keep y'all posted on his progress, but so far he's loved it and so does our 16 year old. /Florida Virtual School
Online classes offer a flexible and tailored learning experience, making them an increasingly popular choice for families. With platforms like Florida Virtual School (FLVS), students can engage in a variety of subjects designed to suit their learning speed and style. Parents have reported significant benefits from online education, including the ability to keep children engaged year-round. For instance, while traditional schools often have long summer breaks, online classes can allow students to progress to the next grade level sooner. This is particularly helpful for students who are eager to learn and wish to avoid gaps in their education. Moreover, online learning environments can foster independence in children. They learn to manage their schedules, meet deadlines, and take responsibility for their education—skills that are essential for future success. The convenience of learning from home means that students can balance their academic requirements with extracurricular activities and family time. Online platforms also offer numerous resources, including interactive lessons, video tutorials, and a supportive community of educators and peers. This accessibility enhances engagement and often leads to better retention of information. Finally, as technology continues to evolve, so do the opportunities online classes provide. Students can access various courses that are not always available in traditional settings, including specialized subjects such as coding, art, or advanced sciences. This exposure helps children find their interests and passions early on, paving the way for informed educational and career choices in the future.
