Products That Saved My Skin This Winter

#winterbeauty #lemon8contest I never used to understand why I had the worst skin ever. I was tormented with cystic acne that heard and was terrible to look at and almost impossible to conceal. One day somebody taught me that even though I felt like my skin was oily all the time that I actually needed to be moisturizing daily after washing my face and I had no idea. I also didn't think about the fact that if you're moisturizing your skin everyday, it's going to help slow down the aging process visibly for you. Basically that means that the more hydrated your skin stays, the less it dries up and becomes wrinkly. If you don't believe me, do your own research, or ask an esthetician.... I actually happen to be best friends with someone who is an esthetician and owns her own spa and beauty school. So you could also ask her yourself. I'm here to help you guys and improve the quality of your day-to-day lives. so if you hit that follow button, I promise to continue to post content that will either teach you something new or encourage you in your days 🙂

... Read moreWinter can be brutal on skin, especially if you're battling issues like cystic acne and excessive oiliness as I did. One crucial lesson I’ve learned is that moisturizing daily is non-negotiable—even if your skin feels oily. When you hydrate properly, you create a protective barrier that keeps your skin supple and slows down aging signs like wrinkles. Through trial, I found that products such as Anua’s soothing formulations and L'Oréal Paris Collagen Moisture Filler daily moisturizer truly restored my skin's cushion-like feel. Collagen-boosting ingredients helped improve elasticity, while intense hydration prevented flaky, dry patches common during colder months. If you’re skeptical about moisturizing oily skin, I recommend consulting an esthetician or researching how balanced hydration helps regulate sebum production. My close friend who runs a beauty school confirms that many people mistake oiliness as needing less moisture, which is a myth. You’ll notice less irritation, reduced inflammation, and a smoother complexion over time. Don’t hesitate to develop a gentle skincare routine combining cleansing, moisturizing, and weekly exfoliation to remove dead skin cells. Protect your skin by applying products suited for your skin type and consider adding antioxidants or collagen-boosting serums for extra support during winter. By sharing my experience, I hope to encourage you to rethink your winter skincare and embrace hydration as a game changer. With the right products and consistent care, you can overcome harsh weather effects and achieve healthier, glowing skin all season long.
