As a busy mom to 5 kids
#zerogatekeeping #lemon8challenge As a busy mom to five kids, I'm always on the go, which means I'm probably going to end up sweating and be outdoors for extended periods of time. So I learned to change my wardrobe rather quickly as I started to realize that this has become my lifestyle. I now own probably a million pair of workout shorts and a lot of sports bras, crop tops and tank tops. It's perfect because even if we're out hiking and it's downpouring I have less clothing that needs to dry before getting back in the vehicle. I also like to keep a spare pair of flip-flops and sneakers in my car for any occasion which is definitely a zero gate keeping tip for everyone. You never know if your car is going to break down or where you're going to end up and what you're going to end up doing and having those two things with you at all times is essential, especially keeping a bathing suit and extra towel in your vehicle.
I literally am obsessed with gym shorts that have built-in pockets so that when I'm out on nature trails I can keep my phone easily accessible for a nature photography because I have a Google pixel and then I also carry a fanny pack across my chest rather than my waist and I clipped my carabiner of keys around the strap and then have my wallet and stuff inside of the fanny pack.
It's important to plan for the life that you want to have, so if you're wanting to be outdoors more, you need to buy a wardrobe and things to go without lifestyle and then start making it happen for yourself.
I have two tiktok shops and I would love it if you went and checked them out. A lot of the clothing I wear down to the dresses, shorts and skirts are all in my tiktok shop.
As a mom to 5 kids that homeschools two of the five kids, it would mean a lot to have that extra support with you guys ordering from my shop. So if you do end up ordering please leave a comment and let me know so I can. thank you personally.
As a mom managing a bustling household with five kids and homeschooling two of them, I've learned that being prepared for any situation when spending time outdoors is a game-changer. One of the biggest upgrades to my daily routine has been adapting my wardrobe to suit my active lifestyle. Investing in gym shorts with built-in pockets has been a lifesaver, allowing me to keep my phone handy for capturing spontaneous moments in nature without juggling extra bags. Carrying a fanny pack worn across my chest, instead of the traditional waist placement, increases my comfort and accessibility while keeping my essentials like keys and wallet secure. I also swear by always having a spare pair of flip-flops and sneakers in my car, along with a bathing suit and towel. These simple preparations mean I'm ready for anything—from unexpected weather changes to impromptu trips to the beach or hiking trails, which keeps me stress-free and focused on enjoying time with my family. Planning your wardrobe based on the lifestyle you want is crucial. If you aim to spend more time outdoors, consider investing in versatile, quick-drying activewear and layering pieces that can handle rain or sun. This approach not only enhances comfort but also makes managing a large family on the go more feasible. Beyond clothing, consider including functionality and convenience in your gear choices. For instance, choosing brands or shops that cater to active moms by offering stylish yet practical options is a smart move—something I support through my two TikTok shops where I feature many of these clothing items. Ultimately, having a wardrobe and gear that align with an active, mom-on-the-go lifestyle helps me stay energized and ready for anything, no matter how busy the day gets. This strategy is definitely something I'd recommend to other busy parents seeking to balance family life and outdoor adventures efficiently.
