For example, telling yourself "I love my momma" or other affirmations can evoke feelings of gratitude and love that refresh your emotional state. In moments of self-doubt or stress, this mirror self-check becomes a grounding technique that centers you. It reminds you to pause, breathe, and affirm your own worth and efforts. Over time, incorporating this habit fosters greater self-awareness and resilience. Personally, I make it a point to do this daily. It’s a small act but one that empowers me to face the day with confidence and kindness to myself. I encourage anyone to try this: look in the mirror, remind yourself of your strengths, and watch how it impacts your perspective positively.
