私も子育て中に言葉の発達を心配していた一人です。言語聴覚士さんのアドバイス通り、「だいすきぎゅっぎゅ」のようなリズムが心地よい絵本は、子どもの安心感を引き出し、自然と発語のきっかけになりました。私の場合は本に合わせてぎゅっと抱きしめることを習慣にして、親子のスキンシップが増えたことでお互いのコミュニケーションが豊かになったと感じます。また、「がたんごとんがたんごとん」の繰り返しとやり取りは、毎日の読み聞かせの中で子どもが先を予測しようとする力を育み、言葉のキャッチボールを楽しむ良い練習になりました。膝の上で揺らしながら読むと、言葉と体感覚が連動しやすいのでおすすめです。「きんぎょがにげた」は、指さしや発見の喜びを感じられる絵本で、探しものをして「いた！」と伝える楽しさが言葉につながっていきました。私も子どもがページをめくるのを急ぐときは、「いたね！」とオーバーリアクションで喜びを表現し、さらに興味を持ってくれるよう心がけています。特に「だるまさんが」は身体で覚える言葉遊びが特徴で、一緒に体を動かしながら言葉を楽しめるので、日常に取り入れることで言葉が楽しいものだと子どもに感じてもらえます。これらの絵本はただ読むだけでなく、親子のスキンシップや遊びの時間として活用することが言葉を育てる大きなポイントだと思います。言葉の遅れに心配がある場合でも、無理に言わせようとせず、こうした絵本遊びを通して子ども自身が楽しみながら言葉を身につけられるようサポートしてあげることが大切です。ぜひお子さんの反応に合わせて工夫しながら、親子の最高の遊び時間を楽しんでくださいね。
