子どもに何度も同じことを言いたくなる瞬間、誰にでもありますよね。私も子育て中、つい「聞いてる？」と言ってしまい、その反応がなくてイ ライラした経験は少なくありませんでした。しかし、専門家の視点から見てみると、子どもは決して「聞いていない」のではなく、遊びや活動に集中し、脳内で情報を整理しながら次の行動に切り替えようとしている段階なのです。 私自身、子どもに指示を出す時にはまず名前を呼び、子どもの注意を引くことを意識しています。たとえば「〇〇ちゃん」と呼びかけてから「まだブロック出てるね」と実況中継することで、子どもに自分の現状を理解させやすくしています。こうすると、単に「早く片付けて！」と言うよりも格段に反応が良くなりました。 また、突然「今すぐ終わって！」と命令するのは子どもにとって切り替えが難しいこともあります。そこで「あと10秒で終われそう？」と時間の猶予を与え、切り替えの準備時間を作るようにしています。子どもの脳は切り替えに時間が必要なので、このひと手間がスムーズな行動につながるのです。 このような声かけ方法を取り入れることで、子どもの反応や行動が確実に変わり、親のイライラも減りました。専門知識と日常の育児を融合させた工夫で、子育ては少しラクになります。みなさんもぜひ試してみてくださいね。
