Navigating loneliness in my late 20’s
Trying to navigate my little loneliness is hard because I feel like maintaining friendships as a adult is somewhat difficult.
I cut off some decade long friendships awhile ago because I couldn’t stand the negativity from my past friendships, but now I find myself again being friends with someone that’s isn’t the best for me. I can’t let that other person go since they are the only available person in my life or that actually respond to me.
I know I should cut it off since this person doesn’t serve me at all, but only focusing on work and having no one to talk about my day and share it with makes life seem a little bland.

Loneliness can be particularly challenging in your late 20s when many individuals shift from established social circles to new life paths. It's common to feel isolated, especially if you're working long hours or moved to a new city. One of the first steps to managing loneliness is to evaluate your existing relationships. Are they enriching your life or draining your energy? Surrounding yourself with supportive, positive people is vital. Consider trying new activities where you can meet like-minded individuals, such as joining clubs, volunteering, or attending community events. Social media can also be a useful tool for reconnecting with old friends or engaging with new groups that share your interests. Sometimes, online communities offer the support and connection that is lacking in your day-to-day life. Moreover, it’s essential to practice self-compassion and understand that it’s okay to feel lonely; acknowledging those feelings can be the first step to addressing them. Lastly, don’t hesitate to reach out for professional support if you find yourself struggling with intense feelings of loneliness. Remember, you're not alone; many others are navigating similar challenges in their late 20s.
