What tripod should you buy for content creating?📱

You might think I have too many tripods…BUT LISTEN!!! They all have their uses when they are needed I am telling you. Disclaimer this does not mean you need this many tripods by any means, but I think this can help you choose which tripod to purchase that fits your content creating needs!

📱The Travel Tripod – this tripod collapses in a really nice way so its easy to travel with. If you are going to be filming places other than home then a travel tripod is really great to have!

📱The Pocket Tripod – this is one of my newer tripods and I love this one! It is very tiny so it fits in your pocket or purse. This one also has a Bluetooth remote attached which is an amazing touch. I used this for a city day and it was PERFECT!

📱The DSLR Tripod – I recently found this one and I was on the hunt for this for SO LONG! Everyone recommends the gorilla ones that are like $60-$70 but I really didn’t want to spend that on a tripod. I got this off Amazon the other day for $19! It has been so amazing I love how flexible it is and it even can hold the camera vertically! Not only that, the clip is designed that if you lift it, it is a smartphone clamp too!

📱The “Sturdy” Tripod – This is the at home tripod that can hold up my phone, my camera, and even my gimbal with no problems. I will be honest, I am still looking for a better one than this so if you have any recommendations leave them in the comments please!

📱The Tracking Tripod – Okay now this tripod is a bit on the more expensive side, and is not necessary BUT if you are your own camera man than you need this one. It has face and body tracking so you can put your phone on it and it will follow you around while you are doing your thing. It is also a gimbal so its great to use when you know you need a perfectly steady shot while you are in motion.

... Read moreWow, the response to my initial tripod collection post was amazing! It seems like many of you are on the hunt for reliable, budget-friendly options to level up your content creation, just like I was. After receiving so many questions and seeing a lot of buzz around specific models, I wanted to dive deeper into one that kept popping up in your comments and DMs: the Victiv NT70 tripod. You know how I mentioned my $19 Amazon find for a DSLR tripod that was super flexible and could hold a smartphone vertically? Well, the Victiv NT70 often comes up as a fantastic contender in that same affordable, versatile category. While I haven't personally added the NT70 to my current collection yet, I've done my research, watched countless reviews, and even chatted with fellow creators who swear by it. It shares many of the qualities I look for in a great all-rounder, especially for those just starting out or working with a tighter budget. From what I've gathered, the Victiv NT70 stands out because it's incredibly lightweight, making it a potential 'travel tripod' alternative if you're not trekking huge distances. It also boasts a decent height range, allowing you to get those crucial eye-level shots or even higher perspectives. What really caught my eye, and something I value in my own 'DSLR tripod' is its multi-functionality. It's designed to seamlessly switch between supporting a mirrorless or DSLR camera and clamping securely onto your smartphone. This means you’re not constantly swapping gear or needing multiple setups for different devices, which is a huge time-saver when you’re your own camera person. The flexibility of its legs, often compared to the popular "gorilla ones" I mentioned, allows you to wrap it around objects, use it as a tabletop stand, or get those low-angle shots that add so much dynamic flair to your content. This aspect reminds me a lot of the versatility I love in my own flexible DSLR tripod that can hold a camera vertically. The built-in smartphone clamp is also a major plus, eliminating the need for extra accessories. For creators focusing on mobile content, this is a game-changer. When considering a 'sturdy tripod' for home use, the Victiv NT70 might not replace a heavy-duty studio stand, but its stability for its price point is frequently praised. It’s perfect for static shots, time-lapses, or even holding your phone steady during a live stream. If you’re looking to upgrade from just propping your phone against a book, this is definitely a step up without breaking the bank. So, if you're like me and always on the hunt for value, the Victiv NT70 tripod seems to offer a lot of bang for your buck. It bridges the gap between a basic phone stand and a more professional, heavier setup. For anyone who loved the idea of my flexible DSLR tripod and its smartphone capabilities but wanted a specific model recommendation, the NT70 is absolutely worth looking into. It could easily fit into your ‘TRIPOD COLLECTION AS A CONTENT CREATOR’ and be a fantastic workhorse for everything from quick shoots to more elaborate setups, whether you're using a camera or just your trusty phone. Happy creating!
