Should you accept gifted collaborations?🎁

This is something that some people say yes and others will tell you do not do that, that’s free work blah blah blah. Well personally, I don’t see anything wrong with a gifted collab ESPECIALLY if you are just starting out. There can be awesome benefits to accepting a gifted collab!

✨If you are new, it's great to get a feel for receiving a product and having to create content in a timely manner for a client. If you have never done this, it’s a perfect opportunity!

✨Free products to create videos for your portfolio! If you are a beginner, and they just want to send you a free product with no content requirement, this is perfect to “test the waters” in how the process works. Create a video with the free product you just received and use it to create a nice video for your portfolio!

✨They can turn into paid ones! A brand can send you something, and you create content for it. They might like that content and want to buy it from you.

✨Now you have the brands contact. Maybe they don’t want to buy content right now, but they could in the future. If they send you something, now you are in contact with this brand. This is important because if you like the brand you want to be able to build a connection with them if you want to work with them. Now that they know you and have your information, you can reach out to them knowing they will see it.
