Start by identifying which tasks need to be prioritized, such as watering, cleaning leaves to allow for better photosynthesis, and inspecting for pests. Creating a dedicated “plant care day” can help you remain consistent. Many enthusiasts choose a day that works best for their personal schedule, while others prefer to check on their plants throughout the week. Whichever method you prefer, a little attention can go a long way! Additionally, consider using reminders or apps that can help you stay on top of your plant care tasks. Some popular plant care apps provide alerts for watering and fertilizing based on the specific needs of each plant species. If you have a varied collection, this could save you time and ensure that your plants receive the correct care. Join online forums or social media groups dedicated to plant care—this can be a great way to exchange tips, share your progress, and learn from others in the community. The #plantobsession and #houseplantcommunity tags are fantastic places to start—connecting with fellow plant enthusiasts can provide not just support but also fresh ideas for your plant care routine. Ultimately, your plants will thrive best when they receive consistent attention, so establishing a routine that works for you is key. Happy planting!

I check my plants daily. It’s self care for me. It only takes a short amount of time to walk around and check everything to make sure nothing needs attending to, if there’s something quick that needs done (watering, wiping down a small plant) I’ll go ahead and do it. If it’s a big job (repotting a larger plant or something needs dividing) I’ll do it depending on urgency and my schedule.
