... Read moreWhen I first saw Huda on Love Island, her makeup just radiated confidence and natural beauty. I was immediately drawn to how effortlessly chic she looked, and I knew I had to try and recreate that vibe for myself! It's not just about the products; it's about the techniques that bring it all together to create that signature Love Island glow. So, let's dive deeper into how I achieved my inspired look, step-by-step, so you can too! First things first, a flawless base is key. After prepping my skin, I reach for a good primer like the Wet n Wild Impossible Primer. This really helps to create a smooth canvas, making sure my makeup lasts all day. Then, to combat any discoloration, a color corrector is a game-changer. The Bobbi Brown Color Corrector in 'Bisque' is my secret weapon for brightening under my eyes – it truly makes a difference. Next up, Huda’s brows are iconic – perfectly defined but still natural. I started by using an ELF Brow Lift to shape and hold my brow hairs in place, giving them that lifted, feathery look. For any gaps, I carefully used a brow pen to fill in sparse areas, mimicking natural hairs. It’s all about building definition without making them look too harsh. For sculpting, I focused on adding warmth and gentle contour. The ELF Liquid Bronzer/Contour in 'Light' is fantastic for this. I concentrated on areas like my cheekbones and jawline, and for a more defined look, I even tried carving out the nose just slightly – a little goes a long way! Then, for that healthy flush, I dabbed on Rare Beauty Blush in 'Hope'. This shade gives such a beautiful, natural-looking pop of color. Setting my makeup is crucial for longevity, especially if I’m out and about. After my liquid products, I lightly dusted Kosas Cloud Set Powder over my entire face, just to blur and perfect. For my under-eyes and t-zone, where I tend to get a little shiny, I used Morphe Setting Powder to set undereyes and t-zone, ensuring everything stayed put. A good spritz of Milani Make It Last Spray at the end really locks everything in, preventing any need to dab excess shine later in the day. Now for the eyes – Huda's gaze is captivating! Instead of heavy eyeliner, I opted for a softer approach using a brown eyeshadow from my Colourpop Eyeshadow palette. I used a small brush to create a subtle line close to my lash line. But the real star for me was focusing on the lashes, especially inspired by the "Huda Love Island lashes" queries! I used Lashview Volume Clusters to add volume and length without looking too dramatic. Carefully placing these clusters along my lash line, followed by a coat of Heimish Mascara to blend them with my natural lashes, gave me that fluttery, full effect. Finally, the lips! Huda usually sports a beautifully defined but soft lip. I started by using a NYX Lip Liner in 'Soft Spoken' to first outline cupid's bow and then gently shade outer corners of my lips. This creates a fuller, more sculpted look. To finish, a generous swipe of Physician's Formula Plumping Gloss added that perfect juicy, plump finish. And a little bonus tip to really get that natural, fresh Huda feel, which also often comes up in "natural makeup look" searches: sometimes, she rocks a few delicate freckles. If you want to add this detail, you can use a fine-tipped brow pen or a light brown liquid liner to scatter across face and blend gently with your finger. It adds such a charming, sun-kissed touch! I was genuinely so happy with how this look turned out. It really captures Huda’s essence – radiant, confident, and natural. Don't be afraid to experiment and make it your own! What’s your favorite part of Huda’s look?
