How I Keep My Skin Clear (What I Use!!)

As a girl who has struggled with acne and breakouts since I was a teenager, let me tell you the thing that helped my skin the most was HYDRATION !!

Once I stopped using heavy actives, rough exfoliants, and mask after mask, I started seeing results. Instead, I focused on using toners that balance my skin, a simple face wash, and a good-quality moisturizer!

These products always make sure my skin is properly hydrated without being too heavy, or adding to my breakouts! 🫶🏻✨

Initially, I used to think that harsh exfoliants and numerous masks would help clear my acne, but they only aggravated my skin and caused more breakouts. Switching to a nourishing toner like the Peach Slices Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner, which contains 95% snail mucin concentrate, made a noticeable difference by calming my skin and improving texture. A gentle cleanser is equally important. I opted for La Roche-Posay’s Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser, which is sulfate-free and fragrance-free, ensuring my skin’s natural oils aren’t stripped away excessively. Proper cleansing helps remove excess oil without irritation, which is crucial for managing acne-prone skin. Hydration doesn’t mean heavy creams; instead, a lightweight yet effective moisturizer like Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer enriched with hyaluronic acid and ceramides provided the nourishment my sensitive skin needed without clogging pores. This balance keeps my skin moisturized, helps repair the barrier, and prevents new breakouts. Consistency with these products, combined with skipping aggressive actives and harsh treatments, transformed my skin. It’s essential to listen to your skin's needs and avoid layering too many products. Patience is key—clear skin doesn’t happen overnight, but focusing on hydration and gentle care can lead to long-lasting results.
