Heal & Hold It Together 🤍

A workday survival routine for the days your heart is heavy but you still show up.

Some mornings you wake up already tired.

Not sleepy—tired in your chest.

But you still get up.

You still go to work.

You still do your hair.

And that alone deserves credit.

✨ Pray first. Even a quiet prayer counts.

✨ If all you did today was get out of bed—good job.

✨ Don’t look how you feel. Looking good helps you feel human again.

✨ Cry if you need to. Bathroom breaks are sacred.

✨ Eat something. Pain hits harder on empty.

✨ Protect your energy. You don’t owe explanations.

If you’re holding it together with lashes, lip gloss, and faith—

I see you.

You got this, girl 🤍

... Read moreOn those difficult mornings when you wake up with a heavy heart and an exhausted soul, simply showing up to work is an act of courage. I've found that adopting small, intentional routines can significantly help in managing emotional exhaustion during the workday. Starting with a quiet prayer or a moment of mindfulness sets a gentle tone for the day, reminding me that even small acts of self-kindness matter. Looking presentable might seem trivial, but doing my hair or putting on a bit of lip gloss often helps me reconnect with my sense of self and humanity, even when my inner world feels chaotic. It's a simple way to regain some control and lift my spirits. Allowing myself to cry, even if only during a bathroom break, offers a much-needed emotional release. Suppressing emotions usually makes the day harder. I’ve learned that honoring these feelings without judgment cultivates strength rather than weakness. Eating something nourishing, no matter how small, is another key survival strategy. When my heart feels heavy, hunger intensifies discomfort, making everything feel worse. Food fuels both body and mind. Importantly, I've recognized the power of setting boundaries and protecting my energy. I don’t owe anyone explanations about why I'm not at 100%. Prioritizing my well-being over external expectations keeps me afloat during tough periods. Whether you're holding it together with lashes, lip gloss, faith, or simply sheer willpower, remember you are seen and supported. These practices may seem small, but together, they help piece back the heart and bring you slowly but surely to a lighter place.
