Do Pimple Patches Actually Work?

Every month like clockwork 😩 I get ONE hormonal pimple on my chin or jawline when my cycle is coming.

And I’m not gonna lie… I’m a pimple popper 😭 I know it’s a no-no but it’s so satisfying.

The problem is… I always get a dark mark after, and it’ll sit on my face for MONTHS. So I’m trying to do better.

I grabbed these Orchid Acne Patches from Dollar Tree ($1.25) to see if they really work 👀

✨ Quick education:

Most pimple patches are hydrocolloid patches, meaning they:

✔️ absorb oil + fluid

✔️ reduce inflammation

✔️ protect the pimple from bacteria + your fingers

✔️ help the spot heal faster (less chance of dark marks)

⚠️ Best time to use them:

They work BEST on whiteheads / pimples with a head or if you already popped it.

They don’t do much for deep under-the-skin hormonal bumps until it comes to the surface.

My first try didn’t work that great… but THIS time it did 😳

I think what helped was I used The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner first, then put the patch on overnight and it literally drew it out.
