Think about the little things that improve your day. A reusable water bottle is a must for staying hydrated, and a small snack (like a granola bar or a pack of nuts) can be a lifesaver when hunger strikes and you're far from a dining hall. I also keep a small, travel-sized hand sanitizer and some tissues. And for those unpredictable weather days, a compact umbrella or a light jacket folded neatly into the bottom of my backpack has saved me countless times. Living off-campus, you don't have the luxury of just popping back to your room for something small, so being self-sufficient is key.
