KILL the OVERTHINKINGš§
Vulnerability
š¤ My Story: growing into my big girl 20ās
š¤ How I Felt: scared
š¤ My Takeaways: weāre ALL scared
Overthinking often stems from worrying about what others think, but through my journey in my early 20s, I've learned that most people are more focused on their own struggles than on judging us. Reminding myself 'who gives a fuck' became a turning point in calming my anxious thoughts. Vulnerability is key. Opening up about fears and uncertainties can actually strengthen resilience instead of revealing weakness. I used to get caught up in making an impression and felt scared about not measuring up, but I realized everyone shares that fear. Accepting this shared vulnerability helps dissolve the power of overthinking. Counting your blessings daily helped me shift my mindset. Life can change in an instant, so appreciating what we have brings peace and reduces anxiety about uncontrollable outcomes. When negative thoughts flood in, I try to remind myself that other people's opinions don't define my worthāthey're often reflections of their own insecurities. A small but effective practice is focusing on simple joys, like savoring crispy food or a beautiful day, which grounds me in the present moment. I've learned that self-confidence grows not from perfection but from embracing imperfection and being authentic. So if you're struggling with overthinking, try to pause, breathe, and remember your unique value beyond external judgments. This mindset shift is empowering and truly liberating.
