Use your map and ping system effectively. Larva nests often have a distinct look, usually surrounded by some sort of 'hive' structure. Prioritize clearing the immediate vicinity before attempting retrieval. You don't want to be caught off guard while carrying precious samples. Second, Loadout Matters. For these missions, I swear by a balanced approach. A good assault rifle for general horde clearing, but critically, a strong support weapon. The Autocannon or Grenade Launcher are amazing for clearing out nests and taking down larger threats that often guard the larva. For stratagems, I almost always bring an Orbital Railcannon Strike or Eagle Airstrike for quick heavy enemy elimination, and definitely a Supply Pack – you'll burn through ammo and stims, trust me! And for my 'mini megazord' feel, sometimes I even try to sneak in a Guard Dog Rover for that extra layer of defense while I’m busy retrieving. Third, Teamwork (even solo!). Even if you're playing with randoms, try to communicate. If you're going for the larva, let your team know. One person can focus on retrieval while the others provide cover. If you're solo, you become the 'mini megazord' – clear a path, grab the larva, then fall back to a defensible position or make a run for it. Remember, it's not always about killing everything; sometimes it's about completing the objective efficiently. Fourth, Handling the Larva. Once you interact with the nest and retrieve a larva, expect immediate enemy reinforcements. This is where your 'mini megazord' setup really shines. Be ready to deploy your heaviest firepower. Don't be afraid to drop an Eagle or Orbital strike right on top of the swarm that appears. Your primary goal is to get that larva back to the extraction point or a safe drop-off. If you die, another Helldiver can pick it up, but it's always better to make it yourself. Finally, Extraction Strategy. After you have the larva, your mission isn't over until you see that 'OBJECTIVE COMPLETED' notification. Head to the extraction point, but be prepared for a fight. Sometimes, the safest bet is to call in extraction and then hold a defensive perimeter, using your 'mini megazord' capabilities to fend off waves of enemies until the Pelican arrives to EVACUATE PRORITY CITIZENS.
