I grew up with cats. We always had cats. Before I moved out of my parents, we had a lot altogether. There was 8 cats, 2 parakeets, and a dog.
When I moved out earlier this year, my husband & I took our two cats. My dog stayed with my parents. Luckily we only live ten minutes away.
At their house right now, it’s four cats, four parakeets, and my dog. 😅
There’s some irony because I used to be SO deathly afraid of animals as a kid. My mom got me a cat when I was in 1st grade to help me rid of my fear and that cat ended up becoming my best friend.
I’ve had many cats and I’ve lost many which always hurts. It’s the worst part of life.
