Do you own a small business?

My mom loves to create. She’s been creating a bunch of things. She makes t-shirts, tumblrs, glass bottles, mugs, gift box sets, etc. Even things like mousepads or coasters. She can also do laser burning on wood. She really wanted to get things moving this year so I helped her find vendor spots wherever I could. Just staying on top of events constantly.

Even though things are slow, I told her next year, we’ll really start to hone in on everything! This year was all about foundation. Setting it all up.

Her small business is Alice Designs.

She makes really cute items. She really does pour her heart into all she does. I’m hoping to continue to help her as time goes on.

It’s not easy having a small business but she keeps pushing through. I’m determined to help her where I can! ❤️

Do you own a small business? Or is there any you really like? How do you stay motivated to keep it going?

Handmade products such as fashion jewelry gift sets, glass bottles priced at $16.00 each or 2 for $28.00, and customized items like mousepads or laser-burned wooden pieces highlight the versatile offerings. Staying motivated when sales are slow can be difficult, but focusing on building a foundation through event participation and vendor spots is key to long-term success. Many small business owners face similar challenges but find ways to sustain passion by connecting with their community or leveraging social media platforms to showcase their unique creations. Family support also plays a vital role in pushing through obstacles and refining business strategies. From crafting to marketing, every step is about pouring heart and effort into the work. For those who own small businesses or admire them, sharing experiences, tips, and motivation can create a supportive network. Whether selling gift box sets, personalized mugs, or laser-engraved products, attention to quality and a personal touch often make a significant difference. Embracing creativity, resilience, and customer engagement helps transform passion projects into thriving businesses over time.

I used to and I loved it. I developed a chronic illness that caused me to have to give it up, but it was so fulfilling to do. I’m happy that she has something that she loves. It’s hard to find that in a job.

I had a small business for a while, but I kind of gave up on it. It was a lip gloss business. I did enjoy it though. Maybe one day I’ll start it back again.
