What are you most looking forward to now in 2026?
I’m really looking forward to getting back into life. 2025 was rough.
Now I’m ready to step into myself again as a first time parent. These last few months, I feel like I’ve been so busy learning the ropes of parenting and being a mom.
I’m so ready to slowly start being myself again. Doing the things I love. Finding the time to take to myself. Which I’m lucky my husband is great at helping me with that.
I hope to accomplish a lot of things this year. I may have started off rocky because I am still sick which sucks. But as soon as I feel better, I’m taking 2026 by the hand.
What are some things you’re most looking forward to? Any plans for 2026?
As someone who has also faced the overwhelming but rewarding experience of becoming a first-time parent, I can truly relate to the feeling of being consumed by learning and adapting in those first crucial months. It’s a time filled with sleepless nights, constant worries, and immense love that shifts your entire perspective. Taking time for yourself during this phase is incredibly important but so often overlooked. Thankfully, having a supportive partner can make a world of difference in balancing parenting duties and personal needs. Looking ahead to 2026, many parents find themselves eager to reconnect with parts of their identity that might have been put on hold. Engaging in hobbies, carving out moments for self-care, and setting achievable goals not only nurture your mental health but also help you grow alongside your child. It’s perfectly normal to face health challenges or setbacks during this demanding period, but your resilience can make the year ahead one of the most fulfilling. For me, learning to ask for help and setting realistic expectations were game changers. I also started journaling about my daily experiences, which helped me process emotions and celebrate small victories. Setting aside even fifteen minutes a day for something enjoyable—be it reading, crafting, or simply sitting quietly—can rejuvenate your spirit. If you’re navigating similar transitions, remember you’re not alone. Sharing your journey with others, either online or in person, can provide encouragement and valuable advice. The key takeaway is that 2026 can be a year of stepping back into yourself gradually, celebrating growth in every form, and embracing the beautiful chaos of parenthood with hope and patience.
