Boundaries in marriage ❤️

This is why we not only love these simple things we do, but why we truly feel like they help our emotional and intimacy in our marriage thrive after 24 years.

We believe that respect comes from the way you treat your spouse, talk to your spouse, and honor your spouse. When you choose to get married, you choose to commit to being loyal. Not being in situations where you put yourself in a position that could lead to emotional infidelity or even a break of trust is very important.

We consider being alone with the opposite sex as dating. That is very intimate. Thank goodness we do not have careers that put us in that position, we understand that some do and that it is not always possible. But choosing to put yourself alone with the opposite sex, to us, is very disrespectful…

as is constantly commenting on the opposite sex. Your spouse should be your one and only. Are other people in this world attractive? Yes. Do you need to comment on them or say things in front of your spouse about others? No, you do not. We think that is simply rude.

We believe that marriage comes before your kids. We believe the very best gift you can possibly give your kids is a happy marriage and a healthy, loving home. That comes from being united, in love, and having a passionate marriage. Your kids will follow your example of love one day. If you love your kids, show them an amazing marriage. Give them a loving home.

And no nudity or sex scenes, we are very against porn and what it does to marriage. It wrecks people, it wrecks mental health, it wrecks intimacy, it wrecks your soul. It destroys relationships. We are very against it. We speak to way too many professionals on this topic, science experts, marriage experts, and we have close friends and family members where it has destroyed their lives. No thanks.

And initiating in marriage, nothing tells your spouse you desire them more than initiating, whether you are the high drive or low drive spouse. Marriage needs to remain passionate, and initiating keeps it passionate.

Do you agree with these, or what standards do you set in your marriage to keep it healthy and hot?
