CHURCH NOTES FROM MY MISSION TRIP
This is my last mission trip I could attend next year. I hopefully can become a leader, but this is what I got out of that week. I just wanted to share with yall
Hey everyone! Following up on my last mission trip, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why taking those church notes was so incredibly impactful for me, and hopefully, inspire you to do the same on your spiritual journey. As my handwritten notes from MPACT Day 1 through Day 6 show, these aren't just scribbles – they're snapshots of 'divine moments' and profound spiritual growth. For anyone looking for powerful 'bible verses for mission trips' or generally seeking guidance, I found these particularly resonant during my time serving. One verse that truly fueled my spirit was Philippians 4:13: 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' This reminded me to keep 'not giving up,' even when challenges arose, reinforcing the idea of 'serving the Lord' with all my heart. It really helped me understand my 'identity in Christ' and overcome doubts. Another cornerstone was Matthew 28:19-20, the Great Commission: 'Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…' This verse was a constant call to action, inspiring me and my team with the purpose of 'reaching the world' with God's love. It made every interaction feel significant, knowing we were part of something bigger. Speaking of love, the notes from MPACT Day 4 reminded me of 'God's love,' and 1 John 4:7-8 beautifully articulates this: 'Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God...' This grounded me in the core message of our mission. The OCR also mentioned 'WHO ARE YOUR FOUR?' and finding 'supportive friends.' This immediately brought to mind Ecclesiastes 4:9-10: 'Two are better than one... For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.' It's so vital to have a strong team around you on a mission trip, people who uplift and challenge you in Christ. These aren't just 'journaling notes'; they're a living record. For me, they've almost 'turned into songs' – a melody of my spiritual journey, truly 'mirroring my life story' in how much I’ve grown and learned. Each day, from MPACT Day 1 to Day 6, brought new insights, helping me reflect on everything from 'identity in Christ' to simply 'not giving up' when things got tough. Capturing these thoughts, verses, and reflections in my notes was crucial for processing, remembering, and carrying these lessons forward. It’s like creating a treasure map of your faith, marking all the 'divine moments' that shape you. These notes are a testament to the incredible experience and the lessons I'll carry as I hopefully become a leader myself.
