I used to tell people to follow their joy…
Joy isn’t constant. But your cycle is.
It’s the same wave again and again.
Your body has been screaming at you for years, but you were too busy being “responsible.”
Maybe it’s work. Chores. Kids. Repeat.
We are constantly riding a wave even when we don’t realize it.
Joy and purpose are always there,
but they show up in different ways, depending on your phase.
Your most expressed self is a joyous self.
But you can only express yourself fully
if you’re actually in tune with your body.
If you’re not, it’s like paddling upstream.
Struggling, pushing, trying to catch up.
But when you sync with your cycle?
It’s like floating downstream on an inner tube, completely trusting you’ll end up where you’re meant to be.
Follow your cycle…. Not your joy! 🥰
It’s a practical upgrade. 🤓😇
I have a beginner friendly cheat sheet to help you start tracking your cycle in my link tree. More downloads coming soon.

Understanding the rhythmic nature of a woman's cycle can transform how she experiences joy, energy, and purpose in daily life. Unlike fleeting emotions, the cycle provides a consistent, predictable pattern that can guide decision-making, creativity, and self-care practices. Each phase of the menstrual cycle—menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, and luteal—affects hormones, mood, and energy differently. By tuning into these phases, women can anticipate emotional highs and lows, optimize productivity, and tailor wellness habits accordingly. For example, the follicular phase often brings increased energy and creativity, ideal for tackling challenging tasks, while the luteal phase might encourage more restful and reflective activities. Ignoring this natural cycle can result in the exhaustion and frustration described as 'paddling upstream.' Conversely, embracing it allows for what some describe as 'flow'—a state where actions align with inner physiology, leading to better mental health and a profound sense of purpose. This cyclical awareness is gaining attention in women's health and wellness communities, promoting a mindset shift from reactive to proactive living. Integrating cycle syncing into everyday routines also supports hormonal balance, mitigates stress, and nurtures an abundant mindset. Incorporating such an approach requires mindfulness and observation over time but can result in practical upgrades to one’s lifestyle. This method challenges conventional advice that focuses solely on pursuing immediate joy and encourages a holistic view of wellbeing rooted in biological rhythms.
