... Read moreOkay, so I finally got my hands on Al Absar's Melted Glaze, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute delight! I've been seeing so much buzz around this particular fragrance, especially with all the new perfume releases, and my curiosity was definitely piqued. After wearing it for a few days, I'm ready to share my honest thoughts and give you a full breakdown. From the very first spray, Melted Glaze immediately transports you to a warm, inviting place. It has this incredible gourmand quality that's not overly sweet or cloying, but rather sophisticated and comforting. I initially get a whiff of something wonderfully decadent, almost like a rich, caramelized dessert, smoothly blended with a delicate warmth. It truly lives up to its name, feeling like a luxurious, melted treat on the skin. As it settles, I notice beautiful nuances – perhaps a creamy vanilla, a hint of soft amber, and a gentle woody undertone that grounds the sweetness, preventing it from becoming too youthful. It’s definitely a fragrance for those who appreciate depth and a touch of indulgence in their scent. One of the most impressive aspects for me has been the longevity and sillage. Melted Glaze wears beautifully for a good 6-8 hours on my skin, sometimes even longer on clothes. It creates a lovely scent bubble around you, noticeable enough to garner compliments but not so overpowering that it enters a room before you do. It’s perfect for intimate gatherings, a cozy evening out, or even as a signature scent for everyday wear if you gravitate towards warm, inviting aromas. I’ve found myself reaching for it constantly, whether I’m just lounging at home or heading out for dinner. Now, for those of you who might also be wondering about Al Absar's Melted Spell, which the OCR also picked up and is often mentioned alongside Melted Glaze – while I haven't done a full deep dive into Melted Spell just yet, I've gathered some insights. From what I understand and have briefly experienced, Melted Spell seems to offer a slightly different, perhaps even more mysterious or intense, facet within the same gourmand family. If Melted Glaze is a bright, comforting, golden dessert, Melted Spell might be its darker, more enigmatic cousin, potentially with deeper resins or spices. I'm definitely keen to explore Melted Spell in the future to compare the two properly! Overall, if you're a fan of elegant gourmand fragrances that offer both warmth and sophistication, you absolutely need to add Melted Glaze by Al Absar to your must-try list. It’s quickly become one of my favorite new perfume releases, and I can confidently say it’s a fragrance that makes you feel utterly delightful.
