Accountability Update #1

Here is my accountability update…

MONDAY: I did started a workout that I had planned on doing all the 15 weeks cause it was a whole 15 weeks workout on YouTube… but I got 2 rounds in before my body BEGGED me to stop and if there was any advice in my life that had stuck and I’ve actually lived by its “listen to your body”. So that’s what I did… and then I sat on my butt after 25 minutes of cleaning… and read almost the rest of the book (ACOMAF) I was reading…

TUESDAY: I literally did minimal cleaning and sat down and spent the majority of my day reading and ended up finishing ACOMAF and buying ACOWAR…

SIDE NOTE: I am a stay at home mom… when I mention “my day” I’m talking about when my kiddo is at school, when we are eating and watching a movie (which unless it’s a movie that I want to watch I’m typically reading), and when the kiddo goes to bed… when she is awake and home… my attention is 100% with her… and the dogs are only 10% when she’s not home. They get fed, let out, and until they get harnesses that actually fit (they are over 100 pound dogs and finding a harness that fits them has been a challenge)… they are content on being lazy… as is their bread…

WEDNESDAY: kiddo had a half day… I was really tired from staying up and finishing my book but I got some cleaning done…

THURSDAY (yesterday): I met all my goals and started ACOWAR… I wish I could say how I feel but I don’t like spoilers so I won’t give any but if you follow me on GOODREADS (hergreatestjourney) then you already know cause I give very small 3-5 words on the part on…

TODAY: I decided to get my chores started, then read to a chapter break, then switched out the laundry, and finally… I grabbed my stepper and finished the last 10 minutes of a Tara Michelle vlog with getting on my stepper… I feel sore but great… next I need to finish the laundry and hang my shirts and I will probably make breakfast and read a chapter and then do a Renee Mowatt Wall Pilates workout, take a body shower and do a little bit of cleaning… hopefully I’ll have time to read more and get some planning done in my A5 stalogy 365 notebook.

... Read moreEvery week presents a new opportunity to hold ourselves accountable for our personal goals, whether they are fitness-related or something as simple as finishing a good book. In today's fast-paced world, many families face the challenge of carving out time for self-care amidst their busy routines. This update highlights how I managed to incorporate workouts into my schedule while balancing domestic responsibilities. Maintaining physical activity is crucial, especially for stay-at-home parents trying to stay fit. Moreover, balancing chores while ensuring quality time with kids can be daunting. Reading has become my little escape, and sharing summaries or thoughts on books like ACOMAF can build a community of avid readers. Let's discuss fitness tips, recommend books, and support each other on our journeys towards better mental and physical health through accountability. Each small step counts as we work towards bigger goals, fostering a spirit of community and shared experiences.
