Day 92/131 Completed {8.26.25}
#90daychallenge #Lemon8Diary #Fitness #accountability #selflovejourney
All daily commitments were met yesterday. We had an appointment early in the morning after dropping off our kiddo and then we went grocery shopping and got home just in time to put away the cold stuff and turn around and go get her from school. Book report is due so I was battling her with getting that done plus her homework plus getting all the things I normally get done after I get home and eat breakfast in the morning.
But to top things off… I got a severe migraine at 7p and it’s still going on 😴😣😖
Have you ever felt a tug to not just transform your body, but also your spirit? That’s exactly what led me to explore a faith-focused approach to challenges like the popular 75 Hard. While the original 75 Hard is incredibly effective for mental toughness and physical discipline, integrating my faith has added a profound layer of purpose and resilience to my journey, much like the one I'm on, currently at Day 92 out of 131. It’s not just about ticking off boxes; it’s about honoring my body as a temple and nurturing my spirit daily. For me, a 'Christian version' of these intense challenges means adding specific spiritual disciplines to the physical ones. Beyond the daily workout plan and hitting my step goals (which I track diligently, often seeing upwards of 9,853 steps and 2,686 calories burned on a good day!), I prioritize daily Bible reading and dedicated prayer time. This helps anchor my motivation and reminds me why I’m pushing through those tough moments, like yesterday’s unexpected migraine attack. It truly makes a difference in shifting my perspective from 'I have to' to 'I get to'. The physical aspects remain crucial. I make sure to hit my drinking water target – it sounds simple, but staying hydrated is key for energy and focus. My calorie consumption is also something I monitor closely, aiming for balanced meals (like my 1,896 calories consumed breakdown for breakfast, lunch, and dinner). It’s about conscious eating, not just restriction. And let's not forget sleep! Making sure I'm in bed before 10:30 pm and aiming for a solid 7 hours 56 minutes of sleep, often resulting in a high sleep score of *89*, drastically impacts my energy and mood for the next day. It's truly a holistic approach. What I’ve found is that this kind of challenge isn't about legalism; it's about intentional growth. It’s a period of intense focus where I commit to showing up for myself physically, mentally, and spiritually, even when life throws curveballs. The accountability I feel, both to myself and to God, helps me push past excuses. It helps build habits that serve me long after the 'challenge' days are over, fostering true self-love journey through discipline. If you're considering a similar journey, I highly recommend finding a version that resonates with you. It doesn't have to be exactly 75 days; it could be 90, or even 131, as I'm doing. Start by identifying the core disciplines you want to build – perhaps consistent exercise, mindful eating, daily scripture, and dedicated quiet time. Use a digital tracker to monitor your progress, celebrate small wins, and remember that every checked box, every step taken, every prayer offered, is a step closer to becoming the best version of yourself, inside and out. It’s tough, but incredibly rewarding.
