Sometimes 💩happens

I’ll be honest… I didn’t think anything of it when my husband said he took today (9/2/25) off. I honestly thought I’d still get my workout in but unfortunately I did not but that okay. I’ve rearranged my week! I’ll still be posting the workouts daily for you guys but I’ll just be “a day behind”. I have something going on Thursday too but I’m hoping to still get my workout in… if not then that’s fine everything will get rearranged again but I think I should be good… if I have to rearrange I will. I’m going to keep the plan the same though… 1 cycle= 14 days: 10 workout days, 3 active rest days, and a full rest day. As long I can stick to that I won’t beat too hard on myself… shit happens! Life happens! What can we do 🤷🏻♀️
Life is unpredictable, and sometimes plans don’t go as expected—that’s totally normal, especially when following a structured workout routine like a 14-day cycle with fitness, rest, and recovery days carefully planned out. Incorporating 10 workout days, 3 active rest days, and 1 full rest day helps balance intensity and recovery, but real-life situations can require flexibility. If you miss a workout because of unexpected events, don't stress. Instead, reshuffle your schedule while keeping the core structure intact. For example, if you planned an upper push workout but needed to rest, slide that session to the next available day and adjust your active rest and full rest days accordingly. This approach keeps you aligned with your fitness goals while accommodating life’s twists. Active rest days are particularly valuable—they promote recovery with low-impact activities like stretching or light walking, helping you stay active without overexerting yourself. On full rest days, focus on recuperation to avoid burnout. Accountability plays a key role when life disrupts routines. Sharing your adjusted plan with a community or workout buddy fosters motivation and support. Consistently posting updates, like daily workouts or progress shots, can keep you engaged and committed. Remember, fitness is a journey, not a rigid destination. Embrace flexibility and resilience, allowing your workout cycle to adapt without losing momentum. This balance ensures that even when “shit happens,” your progress and wellness remain a priority.
