Day 113/131 Completed {9.16.25}

#Lemon8Diary #accountability #90daychallenge #DAILY #sahm

I was able to get nearly everything done but my steps I was just short of. Instead of the extra walking it takes when picking up my daughter after school, I picked her up early (and closer) thanks to my meeting. I don’t typically just sit around but unfortunately my DDD supporter was just over an hour late so I was trying not to be stuck in the middle of doing something when she came… good news is that I just snuggled on the couch with my daughter and she got her math homework done.

Bad news… well… if you’re a special needs mom in AZ then I’m sure you already know about the Medicaid cut that happens in October… and I say no more than that… just hoping it won’t affect us too much… my daughter needs the therapy and benefits she is getting. She is doing so well and I’d hate to see her regress…

In this update, while just shy of the daily step goal, the author made a conscious choice to prioritize family time by picking up her daughter early and completing homework together. This highlights a valuable approach to fitness and wellness routines: flexibility and adaptability. It’s important to remember that success isn’t always about hitting every single metric but about maintaining overall commitment and mindfulness in achieving goals. For parents managing special needs children, maintaining therapy and benefits can be critical yet challenging due to policy changes like Medicaid cuts. This issue deeply affects many families in Arizona and beyond. It’s essential for caregivers to stay informed about local policy changes and advocate for continued support services. Connecting with community resources and support groups can provide guidance and emotional support when navigating these uncertain times. Additionally, the author integrates holistic wellness habits beyond physical activity, such as hydration targets (64 ounces of water), mindful eating with calorie tracking, reading for mental stimulation, and simple skincare routines. These practices underscore a balanced lifestyle that nurtures both physical and mental health. Overall, this day’s experience embodies resilience, adaptability, and prioritizing well-being amidst unpredictable circumstances. Sharing these authentic moments helps others in similar situations feel less alone and encourages a realistic approach to personal health and caregiving challenges.
