... Read moreLiving through my own experiences and observing the older generation around me, I've come to deeply understand the poignant message that "some changes can't wait." Many elderly individuals I know often remind me that it's not financial struggles that trouble them the most, but the physical limitations that come with time. Simple activities like walking to the elevator or meeting friends for coffee become difficult, which can be frustrating when all they want is to enjoy simple pleasures. I recall mornings at local hawker centers where many seniors sit quietly, savoring soft-boiled eggs or simply gazing into space. It seems like just a morning routine, but many of them are silently acknowledging that these moments are precious and increasingly rare. They often say "I'll do it when I retire," or "I'll visit later," not realizing that health and opportunities might not wait. From personal encounters, I have learned that the regret of "finally having time but lacking the health to enjoy it" is a common sentiment among older adults. This has inspired me to prioritize spending quality time with my family and friends without postponing. Life truly lacks a pause button, and every ordinary day holds memories that may soon be impossible to recreate. For anyone reading, whether young or old, it’s a reminder to act on what matters now. Whether it’s reconnecting with old friends, embarking on small adventures, or simply savoring daily moments, don't wait for "someday." The time for some changes is today because some days, once gone, will never come back.
