Landed at the wrong airport In Osaka 🤦🏾♂️ 😡 ✈️
I landed at ITM airport but I need to get to KIX airport. I didn’t know Osaka had 2 airports 🤦🏾♂️
Traveling to Osaka can be a bit confusing for first-timers because the city is served by two major airports: Itami Airport (ITM) and Kansai International Airport (KIX). ITM primarily handles domestic flights, while KIX is the international gateway. I personally experienced this confusion when I landed at ITM, not realizing I needed to be at KIX to catch my connecting international flight. One important tip is to always double-check your flight details and airport codes before booking tickets or planning your transport. From ITM to KIX, there are several options including airport limousine buses, trains, and taxis, but they require extra time and could add unexpected costs to your journey. For travelers, I suggest planning your itinerary with airport logistics in mind and allowing for extra transit time between the two airports if needed. Also, be aware of the transportation options: buses run frequently between ITM and KIX and provide a convenient shuttle service. Alternatively, taking the train involves a transfer but can be faster depending on the time of day. Understanding Osaka’s airport situation early will save you from the frustration and hassle I encountered. Always check if your airline uses ITM or KIX, and prepare accordingly to ensure a smooth travel experience in this vibrant Japanese city.
