Scrolling through old photos or social media feeds often triggers a wave of nostalgia, especially when it involves the people who were a constant presence during our youth. I often find myself thinking about the girls I used to spend almost every day with during high school. Although we don’t talk anymore, those memories continue to bring warmth and joy. High school friendships are unique—they are forged during a time of growth, self-discovery, and countless shared experiences. For me, these girls made those years exciting and helped me navigate the ups and downs of adolescence.
