Tried 4 of their yoghurt tubs and is it worth $20+ each? I wouldn’t say so. These are the ones I tried so far:
- apple cinnamon parfait 8/10
If you really want to try something from oatsome or spend $20 on yoghurt, buy this. The cinnamon flavour really surprised me - it was like biting into a cinnamon roll but in yoghurt form! The apples were crunchy and I guess it’s a nice texture contrast but I thought it would be like a stewed cinnamon apple. The crumbles add a nice addition to the cinnamon yoghurt. Overall, I like it and I might repurchase this.
- hojicha strawberry tiramisu 7.5/10
I love hojicha and I like the hojicha flavour in this yoghurt. Somehow the sourness of the yoghurt can complement the roasted notes of hojicha. The strawberry isn’t really nice though I feel like they could have replaced it with their actual strawberries 🍓. I like the chocolate on the wholemeal biscuit and the fact that eating this feels like drinking an unsweetened hojicha latte.
- earl grey dark choco tiramisu 6/10
As an earl grey fan, this was disappointing. I couldn’t taste the earl grey in the crumble and while the earl grey yoghurt was nice, it was overpowered by the dark chocolate. It would have been better if the earl grey flavour was stronger and if they used better quality earl grey.
- black sesame banana bread yogurt tub 5/10
Not a black sesame fan but it was alright. As before, the dark chocolate was too strong so it was hard to taste the black sesame and banana when eaten together. I like the banana bread and the gold spray on top of the yoghurt though ✨
oatsome’s yoghurt is quite overpriced imo but they are really filling… for a short while. idk why but the crumble looks like pork floss

Read moreHaving tried the Oatsome yoghurt tubs myself, I found that while they are on the pricier side, each tub offers a unique flavor experience that feels more like a gourmet dessert than a regular yoghurt. The apple cinnamon parfait stood out the most for me because of its authentic cinnamon roll flavor combined with crunchy fresh apples—a nice contrast in texture and flavor complexity. This made me appreciate how premium ingredients can elevate yoghurt into something special.
On the other hand, the hojicha strawberry tiramisu presented an interesting combination where the roasted, nutty notes of hojicha paired well with the sour tang of the yoghurt base. However, the strawberry element felt slightly lacking; fresh strawberries could enhance this offering further. The wholemeal biscuit's chocolate added a pleasant crunch reminiscent of biting into an unsweetened hojicha latte, which was a lovely touch.
The earl grey dark choco tiramisu was a bit of a letdown for me as well. Being an earl grey fan, I wished the earl grey flavor in the crumble and yoghurt was more pronounced. The masking effect of the strong dark chocolate somewhat overshadowed the delicate tea notes. This suggests that balancing strong flavors carefully is essential for such fusion products.
Lastly, the black sesame banana bread tub was intriguing but not quite my favorite. The dark chocolate was overpowering and made it hard to appreciate the black sesame and banana flavors fully. Still, the banana bread pieces and gold spray on top lent a luxurious element that’s visually appealing and added texture.
One thing I noticed is that these tubs are quite filling, often making a single tub last through two meals. This heaviness might justify the higher price for those looking for a filling, indulgent snack or breakfast option. Inspired by these flavors, I’m considering crafting my own versions at home to capture their essence with potentially better price control and ingredient customization.
Additionally, from my experience and what I’ve gathered from others, these yoghurts resemble dessert parfaits more than traditional yoghurt, which is an important distinction when considering value for money. The crumble topping, while delicious, amusingly reminded me of pork floss in appearance, adding a quirky visual twist that stands out from typical yoghurt toppings.
Overall, if you are willing to spend a bit more on takeaway yoghurt and love trying unique flavor combinations, Oatsome yoghurts can be worth it. But if you’re price sensitive or prefer simpler tastes, you might want to try recreating similar recipes at home or look for other options.
I tried their bssm bread yogurt tub. I’m a bssm fans but it is not my cup of tea at all. I can’t taste the bssm at all.
