Step into historic New Castle , where the May Market has been a beloved local tradition since the 1940s! Held every year on the first Saturday in May, it transforms the heart of this charming colonial town into a bustling open-air marketplace.

Originally started by the New Castle Garden Club, May Market was created to support local gardening projects and historic preservation — and today it’s grown into a celebration of all things local.

You’ll find tables overflowing with fresh herbs, vibrant houseplants, native flowers, vintage books, handmade crafts, and garden treasures. It’s also a chance to chat with local vendors, artists, and history lovers who are passionate about keeping the town’s spirit alive.
