Tallinn TV Tower & Botanic Garden 🌿🩷

2025/1/30 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! I recently spent an incredible day exploring two of Tallinn's absolute gems: the Tallinn TV Tower and the beautiful Tallinn Botanic Garden. If you're planning a trip, you absolutely have to add these to your itinerary! First up, the Tallinn TV Tower. Standing tall against the sky, the views from up here are just breathtaking. I was mesmerized by the panoramic sweep of the city, the vast blue sea, and the sprawling forests stretching out below. It's not just about the views though; there's a fantastic restaurant right at the top! I saw people enjoying delicious meals, and if you're feeling adventurous like I was, you might even consider the famous Tallinn TV Tower Edge Walk. Imagine walking right on the edge, hundreds of meters up – it's an exhilarating experience for thrill-seekers! Even if you don't do the edge walk, just being up there, perhaps with a delicious latte featuring intricate leaf-shaped latte art, or enjoying a meal like a crisp Caesar salad or some tasty fried chicken, makes for a truly memorable time. The tower's modern architecture itself is quite a sight, blending seamlessly with the vibrant surroundings. After soaking in those sky-high vistas, I headed over to the Tallinn Botanic Garden, which is conveniently located nearby. What a tranquil escape! The moment I stepped in, I was surrounded by lush greenery. The modern glass greenhouse structures are incredibly impressive, housing an amazingly diverse collection of plants from all over the world. I loved wandering through the bright greenhouses, especially seeing all the unique cacti and succulents thriving along the winding stone paths. It's a true plant lover's paradise, offering a peaceful retreat from the city bustle. One of the absolute highlights for me was discovering the 'Aadam ja Eeva' (Adam and Eve) sculpture by Ellen Kolk, created in 1970, beautifully nestled among the foliage. It's such a striking piece and adds a unique artistic and historical touch to the natural beauty. Depending on the season, you'll see different wonders here. When I visited, a vibrant field of white and yellow daffodils, specifically identified as Narcissus 'Full House', was blooming beautifully, adding incredible splashes of color to the green landscapes. It really felt like stepping into a living painting, with every turn offering a new visual delight. Both the Tallinn TV Tower and the Tallinn Botanic Garden offer such unique experiences. Whether you're looking for an adrenaline rush with the Edge Walk, a gourmet meal with an unparalleled view, or a peaceful stroll surrounded by diverse nature and fascinating art, these two spots have something for everyone. They truly complement each other for a perfect day out in Tallinn!
