✨Longevity: if you know how to properly take care of roses, they can last you a good 2 weeks!
You know, there's just something so special about treating yourself to fresh flowers, and for me, that ritual happens every Sunday at Sam's Club. It's my little act of self-love, and honestly, dating yourself is a vibe everyone needs to experience! When it comes to roses, Sam's Club is my absolute go-to. Their selection, especially the gorgeous pink roses, is truly unmatched for the price. Speaking of price, finding such high-quality blooms for under $25 is a steal. But it's not just about affordability; it's about the incredible longevity. I've heard some people say roses don't last, but trust me, with a few simple tricks, your Sam's Club roses can easily brighten your home for up to two weeks, sometimes even longer! I always look for bunches where the buds are still a little bit tight – not fully open – as this is a good sign of freshness and means they’ll bloom beautifully over several days. Here's how I keep my Sam's Club roses looking fresh and vibrant: Immediate Stem Trim & Hydration: As soon as you get them home, grab a sharp knife or floral shears. Under running water, recut about an inch off the bottom of each stem at a 45-degree angle. This prevents air bubbles from blocking water absorption, which is crucial for thirsty roses. Remove Submerged Foliage: Any leaves that will fall below the waterline in your vase need to be meticulously removed. This is super important because submerged leaves decompose quickly, leading to bacterial growth in the water. That bacteria then clogs the stems, preventing water uptake and shortening your roses' life dramatically. Fresh, Cool Water & Flower Food: Always use a clean vase filled with fresh, cool water and the flower food packet that usually comes with your roses. This food provides essential nutrients. Change the water every day or two, and if you're really committed, give the stems another quick snip each time you refresh the water. Optimal Placement for Longevity: Keep your beautiful roses away from direct sunlight, heating vents, or ripening fruit (especially bananas!). These elements can cause them to dehydrate faster or release ethylene gas, accelerating their aging process. A cool, shaded spot is ideal. Beyond the stunning pinks, which are my absolute favorite, I've noticed Sam's Club often carries a beautiful array of other colors, from vibrant reds and sunny yellows to creamy whites and even mixed bouquets that offer a delightful variety. It’s always exciting to see what new floral treasures I can find in their floral department. They often have seasonal options too, so it's worth checking back regularly. If you're looking for flowers for a special occasion, to brighten your living space, or just to practice a little self-care, definitely check out the floral section at Sam's Club.
