Puff pastry
not even gonna lie… I made these “just to try them” and ended up standing in the kitchen eating like three straight off the pan 😭✨ they’re THAT good
flaky, cheesy, a little salty, and honestly feel way fancier than they actually are (which is my favorite kind of recipe)
perfect for parties, game day, or just a random snack moment when you want something warm & cozy 💛
🛒 ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
6–8 hot dogs (I used beef)
4–6 slices cheddar cheese (or any melty cheese)
1 egg (for egg wash)
everything bagel seasoning (optional but SO good)
👩🍳 directions:
preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into strips or triangles
add a small piece of cheese, then place the hot dog on top
wrap the pastry around the hot dog (doesn’t have to be perfect—rustic is cute)
place on baking sheet, brush with egg wash
sprinkle with everything seasoning
bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and flaky
✨ tips & tricks:
don’t overstuff with cheese or it’ll melt out (learned the hard way lol)
chill them for 10 minutes before baking if your pastry gets too soft
try different cheeses (pepper jack = 🔥)
serve with honey mustard, ketchup, or even spicy mayo
these disappear FAST every time I make them… like don’t expect leftovers 😂
