Prashoong chapter 3 (Win the Nalakiri Elephant with mercy)
Paung chapter III mentions the Buddha's victory over the elephant Nalakiri, a ferocious elephant released to tread him to death, but he overcame it with mercy, not weapons.
The Pali chapter says

After many years of enlightenment and proclamation by the Buddha, he had more and more disciples.
Many kings, nobles, merchants, and people were devoted to the book.
But not everyone will be pleased with this.
Among the monks was a person named Devatat, who was a relative of the Buddha.
Originally, he was ordained and highly capable, and there were a lot of respected people.
But as time went on, ambition grew in mind.
The gods think
"Why is Somchadhod the sole greatest respect?"
From jealousy to competition.
From competition to jealousy.
And eventually became a bad idea.
Many times, Devatat tried to harm the Buddha.
Used to hire a killer.
Used to roll a rock from the top of the mountain, hoping to overthrow Him.
But not successfully.
When all the plans failed, the Devitats came up with a new way.
At that time in Rajasthan there was a royal elephant named Nalakiri.
It's a big war elephant.
The body is enormous.
Long tusks like spears
Absolutely strong.
And it is known that when this elephant falls, it will be so fierce that no one will dare to approach it.
The god then bribed the elephant.
And ordered to catch the elephant Nala Kiri filling in hard liquor.
Until it went crazy
The next morning, the news spread throughout the city.
"The elephant fell. It's about to be released!"
The citizens closed the doors of the house.
People ran away in chaos.
The stores are closed.
The whole street is empty.
At the same time, the Buddha knew all about it.
The disciples asked to avoid the path.
Some even asked to walk ahead.
Some proposed a redirect.
But he said calmly,
"Will go the same way"
When it's time to give alms,
The Buddha proceeded into the main street with a large number of priests.
The townspeople peeking from the window were devastated.
Many cried.
Many people think that today must definitely be a tragedy.
Suddenly, the elephant's roar sounded from the end of the road.
The ground began to shake.
The dust is distracted.
People stampede, run away.
Nalakiri burst out like a moving mountain.
Red eyes
Striped sponge stained sesame
The proboscis flicked back and forth.
Two-sided shops were damaged.
The wagon broke.
Everything in the front was swung.
The more people run away, the crazier it gets.
And then his eyes fixed on the Buddha, who was walking in peace.
The whole city is silent.
No one dares breathe.
Many monks were deeply concerned.
But the Buddha kept a steady pace.
No fear.
No anger.
No idea how to fight.
At that moment He spread His mercy.
Is a mercy without the slightest adulteration of hatred.
Is truly a goodwill to all animals.
Even to the elephant about to kill Him.
Nadakiri ran closer and closer.
Fifty meters.
Thirty meters.
Ten meters.
Some people close their eyes because they don't dare to look.
But then something no one expected happened.
The soaring elephant slows down.
The roar fell silent.
The ever-ruddy eyes gradually soften.
The ferocity of a forest fire is like being extinguished by a cold stream.
Arriving in front of the Buddha,
The giant elephant stands still.
Then gently lower the proboscis, touch the ground.
And then humbly fell on his knees.
The whole city was shocked.
There wasn't a sound for a moment.
Before the shout of joy echoed throughout the city.
The Buddha gently raised his hand and rubbed his head.
The largest elephant that used to be the scariest in the city stood calm like a tame baby.
At that moment, many people first understood the meaning of the word "merciful."
They saw to their eyes that what weapons can't do, what military forces can't do, what chains can't do, can be done with a goodwill mind.
And the Lord, upon learning that the plan had failed again, sank deeper into the suffering of his own jealousy.
This is the third chapter to show that the Buddha overcame a fierce ferocity, like wildfire and lightning, not by suppression or destruction, but by mercy, which can magically turn anger into peace and turn a frenzied animal into a calm person.
This is therefore the victory of the "heart" over the "force" and one of the most magnificent victories in the Paung Mahaka.
