Hey everyone! You know me, Lizzy Beth, the German Shepherd mix with a heart full of adventure. My journey has been quite the ride, starting from a cozy spot in a shelter. It was there that my story truly began, before a brief stint in a service dog training program. I learned so much, but honestly, I found my calling as a 'freelance doggy' – what can I say, I love my freedom and choosing my own path! It’s been a year since I found my forever humans, and every day with them feels like a new chapter in my grand adventure book. Being a German Shepherd mix, I have boundless energy, a super curious nose, and a protective instinct, which makes exploring the great outdoors my absolute favorite thing. My humans say I’m practically solar-powered because I love soaking up the sun, whether we're sprinting across a wide-open grassy field, navigating through trails lined with tall pine trees, or just lounging on a picnic bench enjoying the view. I remember one time, we found a huge field overflowing with vibrant yellow flowers and cheerful dandelions, and I just couldn't resist rolling around in them! My humans always laugh at my antics, snapping photos as I revel in the moment. What does being a 'freelance doggy' really mean for me? It means I get to choose my adventures! While I appreciate structure, I thrive on spontaneity and genuine connection. Maybe it's a day spent chasing sticks and splashing in a flowing stream, feeling the cool water between my paws, or perhaps a long hike where I lead the way, sniffing out every exciting scent. Wearing my favorite floral collar, I feel ready for anything! My humans are incredible at finding the best spots for me to run, swim, and explore. They pack all my essentials – plenty of water, yummy treats, and my favorite squeaky toy – ensuring we’re prepared for whatever nature throws our way. Safety is always a priority, so they make sure I'm well-hydrated and we stick to safe, dog-friendly paths. I think the best part of all these adventures is sharing them with my people. No matter how exciting a new place is, I always need them close. That strong, unspoken bond makes every journey even more special. They understand when I need a break, when I'm ready for another sprint, or when I just want to cuddle up after a long day.
