... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you have been curious about my #WillItBread adventures, and honestly, I'm just as excited to share more of my breadmaker experiments with you. It’s been a blast diving deeper into this trend, and I've learned so much about what these amazing machines can (and sometimes can’t!) do. If you're following along from my previous post, consider this your long-awaited pt. 2 of the journey! For those of you who are just tuning in or are inspired to start your own #WillItBread challenge, let me share some of my personal insights and tips. The beauty of the breadmaker is its convenience, but when you're trying to bake something truly unconventional, it becomes a fun, mini-science project in your kitchen. Getting Started with Your Own Breadmaker Experiments: First off, don't be afraid to get a little wild with your ingredient choices. That’s the whole point, right? I usually start by thinking about ingredients I love but have never seen baked into a loaf. Consider their texture, moisture content, and how they might react to heat and yeast. For instance, liquids like fruit purees or even some unexpected beverages can replace part of the water. Just remember to adjust your dry ingredients accordingly to maintain the right dough consistency. When it comes to your breadmaker settings, this is where a little trial and error comes in. Most machines have settings for different crust colors and loaf sizes, often ranging from 1.0lb to 1.5lb or even 2.0lb. For my more experimental loaves, I often start with a basic white bread or sweet bread cycle, as they tend to be quite forgiving. However, if your ingredient is very wet or requires a longer rise, you might need to adjust the cycle length or even use a 'dough' cycle and finish it in a conventional oven. Don’t be afraid to consult your breadmaker’s manual – it's more helpful than you'd think when you're pushing boundaries! My Top Tips for a Successful (or Hilariously Unsuccessful!) #WillItBread Attempt: Start with Small Batches: Especially when trying a brand new ingredient. You don't want to waste a whole bag of flour or a fancy ingredient if it turns into a brick! I’ve definitely had a few loaves that were less than stellar, but it’s all part of the learning curve. Keep a Journal: Seriously, this has been a game-changer for me. Jot down the exact measurements, the specific breadmaker setting you used, and what your 'wild' ingredient was. Note down the outcome – did it rise? Was the texture right? What did it taste like? This makes replicating successes (and avoiding failures) so much easier. Safety First: While experimenting is fun, always use common sense. Avoid anything that could be toxic, highly flammable, or corrosive. And remember, some ingredients just won't work well with yeast or the high heat of baking. If it smells off, it probably is! Embrace the Fails: Not every experiment will be a masterpiece. Some of my most memorable #WillItBread moments have been the total flops! They make for great stories and often teach you more than the successes do. Don't let a flat loaf or a sticky mess deter you. It's truly about the journey and the surprise of what happens. Sharing your results with the community is half the fun! Use the #willitbread hashtag to connect with others, get inspiration, and show off your creations (or hilarious failures!). It’s amazing to see what creative ideas people come up with, and it gives me so many ideas for my next pt. 2 or even pt. 3 experiments. So, go ahead, dust off that breadmaker, and let your culinary curiosity lead the way. Who knows what delicious (or delightfully weird) creation you’ll come up with next! I can't wait to see what you'll bread!

Healthy habits 🍋
These are some habits I picked up over the past month. It is so important to take care of yourself. It may seem selfish but the reality is you can’t take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself. When you feel good it makes the hard things so much easier to do. #wellness #healthylif
