90s kids where you at?!

if you grew up watching kipper the dog in the 90s you already know there is basically zero merchandise for this show and that is a crime. my daughter is obsessed and finding actual kipper toys? impossible.

so i did what any completely normal mom does and just 3D printed the whole friend group myself. kipper, tiger, pig, jake, all of them. she now has her own little kipper universe sitting on her shelf and i honestly might be more proud of this than anything else i have ever made.

tell me which kipper character or episode i should design next because i am absolutely not done with this universe.

Yet one thing I always found frustrating was the lack of official merchandise. Fast forward to today, and that scarcity hasn’t improved much, which can be disappointing for fans and their kids who want to connect with that nostalgia. Inspired by my daughter's fascination with Kipper and the absence of toys, I decided to explore 3D printing as a creative solution. Designing and printing each character—from Kipper himself to his friends Tiger, Pig, and Jake—allowed me to bring to life a little Kipper universe on our shelf. This process wasn’t just about the toys but about sharing a sentimental piece of my childhood and sparking imagination in my daughter. 3D printing offers an incredible opportunity to customize toys that are otherwise impossible to find, especially for niche and rare kids shows like Kipper the Dog. For parents and fans looking for autism special interest gifts or simply unique collectibles, this DIY approach can be both rewarding and practical. If you're considering your own 3D printing projects, I recommend starting with simple models and gradually advancing to more detailed characters. There are plenty of online communities and resources for 3D designs that can be customized or inspired by your favorite characters. It’s also a great way to teach kids about creativity, technology, and the joy of handmade items. I’m continually inspired by the creative possibilities and would love suggestions for which Kipper characters or episodes to design next. This project turned into more than just making toys—it became a way to connect past and present through the magic of custom fandom creations.
